It will be a testing environment when Bayern players set foot on the St Jakob Park’s pitch in Basel on Wednesday at 14:45 (20:45 in Germany) for the first leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League. Good opponent, rough crowd. That test might be necessary…
Shame. Pity. Those are the words that fans should feel if they wasted 90 minutes of their lives watching that 0:0 draw in Freiburg on Saturday.
FC Bayern has a golden chance to rack up three points at the struggling SC Freiburg on Saturday at 12:30 (18:30 in Germany) while hoping that opponents will stumble on trickier opponents.
FC Kaiserslautern never really was a threat. Bayern played an overall good game to beat them 2:0, unchallenged despite a lot of running work done by their opponents.

I won’t comment the 0:1 defeat against Basel in the Champions League as a whole because I did not see anything but the last 10 minutes. However, I saw enough to conclude one thing: FC Bayern has a problem at right-back.
